“Roses Beginning"
(Chp 8:9)
Thomas stood before the crowd of animals.
They seemed to stretch out as far as the eye could see into the dark. He was sure they extended quite far back.
He went and took a few branches of Rose from the stack Eben had made of her. Tossing them in the fire to increase the light he thought he detected a few gasps. In the greater light there was an assortment of animals all “ringing’ him in and an unbroken circle. No animal, Animalkind, or SpiritKind said anything.
However all eyes were definitely on him.
Watching so he stood in the Light and began to speak.
"I had seen the rose bush like all the other ones in the garden along the path leading to Bethl'Eben. I thought that the red one was perfect. Red used to mean love and lovers gave red roses for true love."
"I was thinking about love ..,'
and Thomas rambled on.
Caleb was already on his own private thoughts.
Caleb had been told by Eben that God made "The Rose" red. Red because when he had received it from Messiah it was white. At that time Eben was told to plant The Rose close to the hill where his shelter house or refuge was to be "made" or woven.
It was to be the last of all the roses he was given, yet the first he was to see when leaving his domain.
“First and Last”
Messiah had said.
He was also given a Cup of Blessing to pour out upon the ground when the first bloom would spring forth. At "the set time" when it would blossom Eben was to record that time each year with a Celebration.
A first fruits offering.
The first time that occurred the very frail tender sprig had stood tall and slender barely three feet high with nowhere near the amount of blooms it had now.
In fact it was simply one shoot straight up. The first bloom it birthed crowned the stock with a white blossom and tiny delicate green leaves. Not a thorn grew on any plant in the Kingdom. And this White Rose was no exception as it bore its first blossom proudly.
Eben from the very first day he planted it as just a twig he had gone out and sung to her.
Each day at the same time one could find a song on his lips as he tended Rose even after her first bloom.
That first ceremony celebration; Eben had come and seen the Rose the first time and spoke gently to it. He had poured the “Cup of Blessing”, the Red wine over the bloom and it had cascaded over the plant and upon the ground.
Three days later the White Bloom had turned Red.
And the Rose Bush was now blossoming Red. All blooms from that day forward were Red except on the One Day. The one day, that first day, the first blossom that was “holy unto the Lord.”
Each year, at the same time, Eben had sent out a some person especially selected to bring an offering given from "The Rose".
After the offering of Red Roses were received, three days later, on the very day Eben had originally poured out the Wine upon the ground where the White Rose was planted, One Bloom of the Red Bush like Tree would bear a single white Rose.
“The Miraculous life of Rose would give back once a year a single White Rose”
This year there would be done. Rose was gone.
What had started as a White Rose bush of incredible delicacy and tenderness on it's first bloom, now bore Red except on the Third day after the Pouring out when One Rose would turn white.
When Eben had originally done all these things, The White Rose becoming Red, Rose often Spoke to Eben as he tended the garden and took care for her.
"We all are filling up the Masters Plan”,
Eben had said,
“and one day you to Caleb will be like The Rose,"
Eben had commented back then to Caleb,
"and serve a purpose for God in the Kingdom",
remembered Caleb.
