Last Day or Hour

John 14:1-5
let not your heart be troubled if you believe in Me believe also that I am going to prepare a place for you and if I go, I am coming back to receive you unto myself. So where I am, you also will be with me.

Jesus’ teaching in John refers to the Rapture of the Church. We are going to be in the presence of the Lord. He is coming back in the clouds, between earth and heaven, at the Rapture. We are going to be caught up to the clouds to be with the Lord.

What is the Rapture? The word Rapture is harpazo in the Greek and it means “a snatching away.” It is found in Paul’s first letter to the church in Thessalonica, Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

There are many who do not believe in the Rapture. They say it is a myth and we are stretching the Scriptures. However, you will find mention of the Rapture in 1 Corinthians 15:50-58; Philippians 3:20- 21, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Hebrews 10:36-39, 1 John 3:2- 3 and Revelation 4: 1. You have to understand; there is a generation that is not going to die. They will be taken away in a twinkling of an eye.

In Matthew 24:36, Jesus said, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” This means we have to be ready every day and every hour for the Lord to take us home. Are you ready for your last day and hour?

It ought to be the business of every day to prepare for our
last day.
