“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
1 Corinthians 1:18
A few years ago the President of Harvard said that while it was okay for ancient man to believe in a divine anointing Christ, modern man had outgrown that idea. However, R.A. Torrey responded to this man’s claim by saying, “Preach and Christ but a crucified Christ, and you will not draw men for long.”
The Bible says that the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who believe, it is the power of God!
Thought for the Day:
“There is a great difference between realizing. ‘On that cross He was crucified for me,’ and ‘On that cross, I am crucified with Him.’ The one aspect brings us deliverance from sin’s condemnation, the other from sin’s power.”
