ARE YOU SO PRACTICAL MINDED YOUR NO HEAVENLY GOOD?

ARE YOU SO PRACTICAL MINDED YOUR NO HEAVENLY GOOD?

Can God interrupt you?
Do you allow the Holy Spirit to lead?
If someone yelled "GUN" or "FIRE" would you pay attention?

Many people start on the right foot;
then walk around left handed all day.

They don't "Walk in the Spirit"
To be "Led of the Spirit"

THERE IS NO EXPECTATION TO MEET JESUS

Oh sure the "daily prayer" or "Bless this Mess" was said.
The usual "Read but don't Bleed" was done.

So on with day and away we go.

Can God interrupt your routines?
Can He Stop Your Ministry in the middle of a service?
Are you flustered if it doesn't go perfect?

GOD IS IN THE SPIRITUAL NOT THE PRACTICAL

Any robot and any automated machinery can be perfect, practical, perform.
Human Being do not.

God wants us flexible to his will because any other way is our way and not his.

KEITH GREEN a great MUSIC EVANGELIST
of the Jesus Movement

Once stopped a concert in the middle and said the Lord told him to pray.
He got off the piano on his knees and prayed at a prestigious bible college.

Eventually a student came down to repent of a serious moral sin
then some teachers, then some Pastors
soon the service had become a genuine move of God;s Spirit
and people were getting healed and helped
because one man stopped the concert.

He was asked to never return........

Be careful you don't focus on the practical
When God Operates in the Spiritual

YOU MIGHT FIND YOURSELF IN HIS WAY.

How Do We Pray?

This prayer begins where all true prayer must start, with the spirit of adoption: "Our Father." There is no acceptable prayer until we can say, "I will arise and go to my Father."1 This childlike spirit soon perceives the grandeur of the Father "in heaven" and ascends to devout adoration, "hallowed be your name." The child lisping, "Abba, Father" grows into the cherub crying, "Holy, holy, holy." There is but a step from rapturous worship to the glowing missionary spirit, which is a sure expression of filial love and reverent adoration-"your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

Next follows the heartfelt expression of dependence upon God-"Give us this day our daily bread."

Being further illuminated by the Spirit, the one praying discovers that he is not only dependent but sinful; so he cries for mercy, "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors"; and being pardoned, having the righteousness of Christ imputed, and knowing his acceptance with God, he humbly prays for holy perseverance, "Lead us not into temptation." The man who is really forgiven is anxious not to offend again; the possession of justification leads to an anxious desire for sanctification. "Forgive us our debts"-that is justification; "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil"-that is sanctification in its negative and positive forms.

As the result of all this, there follows a triumphant ascription of praise, "For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen." We rejoice that our King reigns in providence and shall reign in grace, from the river even to the ends of the earth, and of His dominion there shall be no end. So from a sense of adoption, up to fellowship with our reigning Lord, this short model of prayer conducts the soul. Lord, teach us then to pray.

A Lofty Doctrine

Here is distinguishing grace and discriminating regard, for some are made the special objects of divine affection. Do not be afraid to dwell upon this lofty doctrine of election. When your mind is heavy and depressed, you will find it to be a spiritual tonic. Those who doubt the doctrines of grace or who throw them into the shadows miss the richest clusters of grapes; they lose the best wines, the choice food.

There is no balm in Gilead comparable to it. If the honey in Jonathan's wood when simply touched illumined the eyes, this is honey that will illumine your heart as you love and learn the mysteries of the kingdom of God.

You must feed on this; live upon this choice provision, and do not be afraid that it will prove too delicate a diet. Meat from the King's table will hurt none of His servants. Desire to have your mind enlarged, that you may comprehend more and more of the eternal, everlasting, discriminating love of God.

When you have soared as high as election, linger on its twin peak, the covenant of grace. Covenant engagements are the mighty fortresses behind which we lie entrenched; covenant engagements with our Savior, Christ Jesus, are the quiet resting-places of trembling spirits.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the raging flood;
When every earthly prop gives way,
This still is all my strength and stay.

If Jesus undertook to bring me to glory, and if the Father promised that He would give me to the Son to be a part of the infinite reward of the travail of His soul, then, my soul, until God Himself shall be unfaithful, until Jesus shall cease to be the truth, you are safe. When David danced before the ark, he told Michal that election made him do so. Come, my soul, dance before the God of grace, and let your heart leap for joy!

Justification Comes By Faith

Galatians 3; Psalms 119:25-27; Proverbs 21:6

O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?

This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain-if indeed it was in vain?

Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?- just as Abraham "believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.

 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "the just shall live by faith." Yet the law is not of faith, but "the man who does them shall live by them."

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have givenlife, truly righteousness would have been by the law.

But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed.

Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods. But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? You observe days and months and seasons and years. I am afraid for you, lest I have labored for you in vain.

Brethren, I urge you to become like me, for I became like you. You have not injured me at all. You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first. And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

What then was the blessing you enjoyed? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes and given them to me. Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?

They zealously court you, but for no good; yes, they want to exclude you, that you may be zealous for them. But it is good to be zealous in a good thing always, and not only when I am present with you. My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you, I would like to be present with you now and to change my tone; for I have doubts about you.
Galatians 3:1-14, 21-29; 4:1-20

WORSHIP
My soul clings to the dust;
Revive me according to Your word.
I have declared my ways, and You answered me;
Teach me Your statutes.
Make me understand the way of Your precepts;
So shall I meditate on Your wondrous works.
Psalm 119:25-27

WISDOM
Getting treasures by a lying tongue
Is the fleeting fantasy of those who seek death.
Proverbs 21:6

Snatched Away

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. —1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

One day Jesus is coming for His church; He's going to catch us up. He is going to take us by force out of this world. This "snatching away" is known as the rapture. Some people ignorantly argue against the idea of the rapture, declaring that the actual word "rapture" doesn't even appear in the Bible.

But the Greek word harpazo is translated in the King James Version as "caught up." The word means "to be taken away by force or by power."

 In translating from Greek into Latin, the Latin Vulgate version uses the word raptus, and the word rapture is a transliteration of that word. God wants us to live in constant, minute-by-minute readiness for His return. When the rapture happens, it is going to take us by surprise.

"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect" (Luke 12:40)

The day is coming soon. With a shout, He will say, "Come on up!" And we who are alive and remain will be caught up, snatched up, taken by force out of this sin-cursed world. Are you ready for this magnificent event? Father, thank You for the glorious hope of the blessed appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Help us to live in such a way that we are ready when the moment comes. Amen.
