We should all be a part of reaching and teaching the world.
Your mission, should you accept it, is to reach the world with the gospel and to teach the world to follow Jesus. At Calvary Chapel of the Triad, 'Reach and Teach' is our vision and mission. As Pastor here, I want this church to reach every corner of this world with the message of the gospel. Will you play a part in accomplishing that mission?
You are the called of Christ. You are chosen for this mission. Never mind your fears, weaknesses, or inadequacies. As "the called of Jesus Christ", you have been chosen for this mission. The Apostle Paul wrote...
1 Corinthians 1:26-29 "Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world's eyes, or powerful, or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God deliberately chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose those who are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world; things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important, so that no one can ever boast in the presence of God." NLT
Never be content to just sit and be a spectator to what is going on here. I encourage you to step out. Make that journey from 'the stands, to the bench, to the playing field'. In this game of life in following Jesus Christ, you win by playing and lose... by not playing. If you attend church here, get involved and join us in making a difference. If you listen to the teachings online, on the radio, or watch on television, play a part in reaching the world by contributing financially according to the blessing that you received through that ministry. If you attend another church, then find a way to get involved there. Whatever you do, wherever you are, please don't be content to be a spectator. Partner with us in reaching and teaching the world.
Dear Father,
I want to be a part of reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank You for giving me the opportunity to do that. Please forgive me for times when I was content to be a spectator. Give me the courage to step out in ministry. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
