When is Passover in 2010? 

Passover in 2010 will start on Tuesday, the 30th of March 

and will continue for 7 days until Monday, the 5th of April. 

Note that in the Jewish calander, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, 

so observing Jews will celebrate Passover on the sunset of Monday, the 29th of March.

LastCall: Why did God choose Mary -Mike MacIntosh

And Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name." Luke 1:46-49 Why did God choose Mary to be the mother of Jesus? Was she more spiritual than all other women? Was she better-equipped to be Jesus' mother than anyone else? Quite the opposite. Mary was a poor, lowly maidservant, probably not more than about 14 years old when she gave birth to Jesus. She didn't have a lot of money, and when it came to motherhood, she had no experience. In fact, she wasn't even married. Can you imagine how embarrassing her pregnancy must have been? Not to mention frightening? It wouldn't have been easy for anyone, much less someone as young, poor, and inexperienced as Mary. But God didn't choose Mary in spite of her weakness -- He chose her because of it. "My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior," she told Elizabeth while pregnant with Jesus. "He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name." It's amazing that despite all the cards that were stacked against her, Mary rejoiced. It's fascinating that even though she had every reason to be worried and ashamed, Mary worshiped. You see, God chose Mary because He could be glorified through her. He chose to use someone so obviously weak, that He could prove Himself strong. He selected someone who wouldn't -- and couldn't -- take the credit for all that He was about to do. He selected someone who would not only trust Him, but who would rejoice in Him. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:10, "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." So often, we see our weaknesses as detrimental, but our weaknesses are opportunities for God to show His strength in our lives. "God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty" (1 Corinthians 1:27). In our weakness, He is strong. Don't be discouraged by reproaches, needs, persecutions, and distresses. If your life is uncomfortable, you are usable. If you feel inadequate, He is more than capable. The key is to never stop trusting, and never stop rejoicing. "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4). May you be able to say, like Mary, that "He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name." May you throw up your hands in complete worship of God, your Savior, no matter the circumstances that surround you. And may He work powerfully in your life, not just in spite of your weaknesses, but because of them.

God Bless America: "The Christian in America"

“The Christian in America”

I pray for America and Americans

ALL OF THEM

We aren’t about Glenn Beck, Tiger Woods, the Sweet sixteen, or the NFL Draft. We aren’t Democrat or Republican, Communist, Socialist, Progressive, regressive, Founding Fathers or bastard sons. We aren’t illegal immigrants or legal conquerors, native victims or wayward saints. It isn’t atheism, Catholicism, Protestant, Wiccan, Jew, Islam, law abiding, anarchist, drug addict, sexual predator, puritan politician, free enterprise, greed, or poverty. It isn’t humanist, Pentecostalist, Fundamentalist, Mormon, Jehovah Witness, the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. It isn’t freedom or slavery, debtedness, credit, the number of houses you own or how many guns you can carry, hide, horde or shoot someone with.

It isn’t any of these things.

It is God.

God Bless America.

It is

We the People.

Get over it.

We aren’t perfect

We are American

The Christian in America is a little confused but that’s Ok. Most Americans call themselves Christian and that’s a good thing. It means God can sort em out not you or me.

We?

We need to be people of Jesus if we say we believe in him. Not People of the Union of Democratic States, or Obamacare recipients, or Card Carrying members of some party or political agenda.

We need to be like Jesus. All about our Fathers Business. Since he cares for the Sinner and the Saint, we better also.

So if you can help a homeless person, do it in Jesus Name and if he wants what you got, he will ask you. Be Jesus, Be a Christian, be the Salt of the Earth not the raiser of High Blood Pressure.

You don’t put salt in a wound and you don’t force faith.

Neither one “feels good.”

Remember, for some people in this world, this is their heaven, while for a Christian this is your hell.

America is only as great as we Pray and Obey.

Not Protest and Unrest.

We are American Christians.

We are not a political party.

We are a people of God.

We were born for such a time as this.

We are the Light of the World

You Are.

“Let your light so shine before men,

That they may see your good works

And Give Glory to God in Heaven.”
