Today is a day like no other
Today the World Remembers
Today the world knows what it is “set aside” for.
You saw the Sacrifice of Your Son
And it was good.
God
Only you could see “good” in the death of your son.
Thank God You Do.
I could not.
If there had been any other way to know you Father
I would have that you made that way available
You did not.
For so it seemed to you to be good
That God should die that I might live.
Today Father I pray Good Friday
Though it is not “the day”.
Let it remind me to pray
Sit still and some moment
And thank you for what you have done.
