“Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers;
you shall be my people, and I will be your God.”
Ezekiel 36:28
As we look at the situation in the Middle East today, there is much confusion regarding what land belongs to what country. The Palestinians are wanting their own nation and claiming that much of Israel should belong to them. Even Jerusalem has been a point of contention. Differing nations are trying to lay claim to this piece of land as well. Since history began, much of Israel’s land has been given away in peace treaties.
In the above Scripture, God promises His chosen people that they will dwell in the land that God gave to Abraham. During the millennial reign, Israel will once again enjoy their land and possess every inch that God promised them! Maybe you are waiting for God to fulfill a promise that He has made to you as well? God’s timing is perfect – whether its today, tomorrow, or years from now, He will keep His word.
