You can probably count on two hands how many times someone has touched your face~Mike MacIntosh

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying,

"Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
Revelation 21:1-4

You can probably count on two hands how many times someone has touched your face. I'm not talking about the times you've received a fist to the face; I'm talking about when someone caresses your face with loving care. Only those with whom you are very close, personal, and intimate touch your face in this way. Your mom was probably the first to do it when you were born. But God loves you so much, that He will take you in His arms and wipe away the tears from your face.

Think about this: His are the very hands that created the heavens and the earth. They are the hands that brought healing to the sick, and vision to the blind. They are the hands that were nailed to a cross for the sake of our sins. Yet these hands are tender enough to wipe the tears from your eyes. That's how loving God is! He loves you and wants a relationship with you. I can't help but think of 2 Corinthians 5:17:

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

Can you not wait for the day when He makes all things new? I mean, as Christians, we have been made new through the blood of Jesus, but there's still sin around. Someday (soon!) all things--including sin and pain--will pass away, and we who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ will be in His presence for eternity. And God, Himself, will wipe away your tears.

Face to face with God--no more tears and no more pain. When you're feeling down, lonely, or depressed, count on Jesus to take care of you. He's promised that He will make you a new creation when you put your faith and trust in Him. And He's promised to be compassionate and caring to your every need--now and for eternity.
